Privacy policy

Aproape is a care-coordination app for adults. This policy explains which data we use and the controls available to you.

Data and purposes

• Profile and optional email: authentication, recovery and account security.
• Messages, photos and voice: communication inside your trusted circles.
• «Vorbim?» conversations: an optional signal of availability and short conversations with people nearby; the declared area, never the exact position, is shared.
• Check-ins, tasks and incidents: care coordination and SOS response.
• Medication, allergies, emergency card and optional journal: only features chosen by the user.
• Location: shared for an SOS or after confirming a request; approximate and optional for weather only while Frame mode is open; no background tracking.
• Technical data and App Check: security, abuse prevention and notification delivery.

Protection and sharing

Data travels over HTTPS. Highly sensitive v2 data is application-encrypted on the server. FCM notifications contain only an opaque event ID, never private content, location, medication or the event category. We do not sell data and do not use advertising or an Advertising ID.

Data is visible to authorized members of the circle and to providers strictly required for a chosen feature, such as Firebase for notifications and attestation. For weather, ATOM cloud sends MET Norway only rounded approximate coordinates; the connection is made by the ATOM server, not directly by the phone. Retention

Point-in-time location expires after 24 hours. Rounded weather coordinates remain only in cloud memory cache for about 6 hours, including temporary fallback while the provider is unavailable; the weather provider applies its own logging policy. Voice messages expire after 30 days by default. Other data remains while the account or circle is active or until deletion. Backups expire under the declared operational schedule and are not used for another purpose.

Health and emergencies

Aproape is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It does not replace a clinician or local emergency services.

Your rights

You can view consents and devices, export data, withdraw permissions and delete your account in the app. After uninstalling, you can start a request from the deletion page. For access, correction, objection or other questions, contact us. contact@atomtech.ro.
